This comic is what I like to see, people understanding that Muramasa is not Shirou. Muramasa functions exactly like Ishtar, the spirit is the one in control with some slight changes that stem from the host, such as Ishtar not being a sociopathic and genocidal troglodyte, Rin mellows her out, but she for the most part has no full recollection of who Rin Tohsaka is. Muramasa, well... His abilities are what got affected by Shirou, allowing him to act as a Blacksmith without an actual Smithy, his personality is completely Sengou/Senji Muramasa, an old man stuck in a young body. He knows Shirou is possibly his descendant, but he shouldn't have any of his memories. These kinds of Comics are rare as people seem to just make him Shirou for no damn reason.Show less

A short summation of my new years experience.

On the GSSR, THIS BUGS BUNNY MOTHERFUCKER SPOOKED ME AGAIN

Second fucking new years GSSR in a row he’s ruined me.

On the OTHER hand…

Muramasa, without running out of quartz. To me, that’s a win. And I’ve tested, I don’t need that second copy that badly.

And finally:

Gave my wife the grails she deserves.

It’s a new year…let’s hope I can cut my gacha spending considerably.

Happy New Year 2023 everyone!!! This is a redrawing of one of my firsts colored peices, 2022 (posted this on the 31st still) vs 2020 version, use this as a catalyst if you need to and good luck to all masters going for Muramasa

Saber Ibuki gets a pass since she literally got tossed into the trash by everyone because Muramasa released after her. Also it really is annoying how literally no one cares about Muramasa at all because Shirou.

the whole reason she got tossed in the trash is because she's boring af design wise. She's OP, but unlike Muramasa she's OP because they just gave her every generic good effect. She has a 50% battery, she has a massive 3 turn buster, she has ignore invincible, she has ignore defence, she has attack up, she has crit up, she has star bomb, she even has buster res down. The ONLY thing she doesn't have is hard survival and even then she has two forms of soft survival in NP seal and a Def Up that's pretty strong for a non-Morph skill.

Muramasa meanwhile has actually interesting stuff. He has the flame mechanic, he has looping potential that requires SOME degree of thought rather than "order change waver / chihuahua" (though in his case castoria's just as unga but at least there's an alternative available) he has a 1 turn rainbow buff with effectively built in crits rather than it being spread across his whole kit, his ignore invincible has a unique mechanic to it that buffs his crit against evading enemies.

Muramasa is OP but in a way that feels stylized. He really does play like a master craftsman who only needs one decisive blow and has a veritable armory of a forge and lifetime of experience at his disposal.

Ibuki just feels like they went over a checklist of everything that's good and gave her all but one thing selected arbitrarily. (and then did that but ten times worse for her summer variant)
